About the contest
The Acoustic Stories contest aims to popularise 20th-century Polish theatre music and foster its creative use in new audiovisual contexts. Participants are asked to prepare their own interpretation of music available on the Music Granar platform and present it as a contest entry. The jury will evaluate originality, artistic quality, and the effectiveness of combining image and sound.
Categories
→ Category I – Amateur
Individuals who have not previously received remuneration for work related to synchronising music with picture.
→ Category II – Professional
Individuals with experience in scoring/illustrating image with music and a proven track record in this field.
Timeline
→ Opening of applications: 1 Oct 2025
→ Application deadline: 26 Nov 2025, 23:59
→ Submission deadline (entries): 24 Dec 2025, 23:59
→ Results announcement: by 31 Dec 2025, 23:59
How to take part
1.Fill in the online application form: https://forms.gle/AfqRomVv9xej2vCs9
2.Register on Music Granar using the same e-mail address as in the application.
3.The administrator will verify your registration and grant a user licence.
4.Download musical materials from the platform (each download is logged).
5.Create your contest entry and send it to: weronika@musicgranar.com
Note: only individual participants may enter; group entries are not accepted.
