Borys Somerschaf

A conductor, composer, vocalist, and arranger. His primary artistic activity is choral music. For over 25 years, he has specialized in performing Orthodox Church music and Eastern Orthodox sacred chants (with the KAIROS Men's Vocal Ensemble from Lublin). For many years, he has led vocal workshops for young people and served on the juries of vocal competitions. He has composed concert pieces, music for numerous theater productions, and television films. He has participated in the recording of dozens of albums of Polish classical and popular music. He has recorded two solo albums of Russian romances. He is a three-time recipient of the Mayor of Lublin's Award "For Significant Achievements in Culture and Art" and a two-time recipient of the Cultural Award of the Marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship. Since December 2015, he has been the conductor of the Warsaw Inter-University Choir.
