Krzysztof Herdzin

Professor of musical arts, pianist, composer, arranger, conductor, and producer. Born in 1970 in Bydgoszcz, Poland, he graduated from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, studying piano under Prof. Jerzy Sulikowski and Prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń. One of the few Polish artists bridging classical, jazz, and popular music, he has collaborated with leading Polish performers including Anna Maria Jopek, Kayah, and Maryla Rodowicz, as well as international artists such as Maria Schneider, Branford Marsalis, and Richard Bona.

He co-created the Academy Award-winning score for Finding Neverland by Jan A. P. Kaczmarek. His output includes over 200 recordings and 25 original albums. He has performed worldwide and conducted more than 40 orchestras, including the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and the National Orchestra of Belgium. He is the first Polish composer to release a monographic album on the DECCA label. He currently performs solo and with his own Trio and Big Band.
