Aleksandr Porfirjewicz Borodin
Born October 31/November 12, 1833, in St. Petersburg, died February 15/February 27, 1887, in St. Petersburg.
Russian professor of chemistry, composer, and pianist of the Romantic era. He was one of a group of five Russian composers who went down in music history as the "Mighty Group."
