Marcin Krzyżanowski

He performs under the pseudonyms Xooxen (projects with electric cello) and MrcKrz / Marc Krz.

He graduated from the Academy of Music in Kraków in the cello class of Prof. L. Solecki. He studied composition privately with Prof. Bogusław Schaeffer.

As a cellist and composer, he has participated in numerous festivals of contemporary music, jazz, theatre, and film, giving concerts in Poland, Europe, and internationally. He has participated in premieres of solo and chamber works by Polish and foreign composers. He has realized projects in the field of creative music, including performances of graphic scores and intuitive music. He has collaborated with the Polish Radio Experimental Studio in Warsaw. He has composed music for theatre, television, and radio plays, as well as for feature films, documentaries, and animated films. He has collaborated with, among others, with directors: Krystian Lupa, Łukasz Wylężałek, Magdalena Łazarkiewicz, Jan Skalski, Jerzy Kucia, Filip Zylber and Paweł Sala, as well as with the Theatre of Arts and the Polish Radio Theatre. He also creates autonomous works: orchestral, vocal-instrumental, solo and electronic.
