
India Czajkowska
Composer, pianist, and vocalist. She graduated from the Secondary Music School in Łódź, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Warsaw. She creates music for film and theater, as well as her own original projects. Her music has twice won awards at film festivals: Depth of Field International Film Festival Competition (USA) and Salento International FILM Festival (Italy). She has collaborated with, among others, Mauro John Capece (feature films - La Scultura, Sfashion, Unlucky to Love You), Piotr Uklanski (Summer Love), Irek Dobrowolski (Two Sides of the Grid), Andrzej Titkow (including the TVP Theatre Cyjanek o Piatej), and Mariusz Malec (including the TVP Theatre: Pseudonym Anoda). She collaborates with dance theaters such as Limen (butoh), Format Zero, and the Warsaw Dance Museum. She creates both acoustic and electronic music, in styles ranging from post-classical to free jazz, ambient, and trip-hop, and enjoys vocal experimentation. She has released over a dozen albums, both solo and co-written. Some of her concert projects include Triangle, Artrance, Tańce Snu, Trio Mermago, Ensemble Elektra (USA), India & Electronic Duo, Fractals, Parallel Worlds (Greece), and Drum Freaks. Recent albums include Triangle: Sudnik/Czajkowska/Majchrzak (Audio Cave label) and the solo piano album Diary of Earth.
